The World of Music’s Coolest Corporate Get Up

If you think pinstripe suits, mens neckties and formal slacks are only used by people working in the corporate world, think again. If you know Angus Young and Avril Lavigne, you would know how these two rockers, despite age and subgenre differences, love rocking out in ties!

Rock n’ Roll is a genre of music, which mostly defies barriers and conventionalism with its deep raged honesty and constant evolution, not stopping to a certain point and would always look and push for the extremes. This makes rock music the most defined music genre despite of it being divided into so many subgenres. It is what it is. It is also a fact that rock musicians are known as the most eccentric and perhaps the most fun loving performers’ audience may witness up on stage.
Part of rocker’s charisma is being able to truly deliver the weirdness that is true to every human, and materialize the said on stage as they grab the microphones, their instruments and sing their songs. They are able to present someone on stage that would represent people who wants to break free from the norms of society. As for making differences in any way they can, rockers would also go far beyond the usual “rock fashion” of metal wristbands, leather jackets or boots. If you are a big fan of the legendary hard rock group AC/DC, you would remember its uber cool guitarist Angus Young who would always sport a kid’s corporate attire. He loved role playing on stage and would always had a heck of performances for being so experimental and open. Then there’s the pop punk princess Avril Lavigne who gained popularity in 2002 when she was first seen on MTV wearing a red tie with her black sleeveless tee. Ever since that little video of hers, angry teenagers growled enthusiastically with her songs wearing the same tie. The band “The Presidents of the United States of America” stood by their moniker and donned two for one suits mens while on concerts. The disco punk-emo group “Panic at the Disco“sometimes under the baroque pop genre would wear classic suits and coats to add dramatic effects in their songs and productions in general. Last but not the least, get this, the fab four, none another than the greatest band that ever existed in the entire Milky Way Galaxy, The Beatles, were well known for performing in classic gray suits.

Rock music + classic suits seem to be an inadequate combination for you? Think again. But then again, in rock and roll: THERE ARE NO RULES.
